He Hurts with us

"The only way we can have personal victory in the midst of these flying arrows... is to call upon the Lord for help." - Edith Schaeffer
In the midst of our battles and when we fall down as we feel like we don't have the strength to continue on, Our God is Forever Faithful. Whatever battle we are facing, whether that is exams, whether it is family breakups or friendships that are causing you pain, Jesus completely understands the pain that you are going through. Remember He suffered on this earth, He was put down because He spent time with the sick and the poor. He even suffered so much by dying on the cross for our sins. He hurts with us because He doesn't want to see his precious children suffer.
I remember reading somewhere, When this world knocks us down unto our knees, We are in the perfect position to pray. This made me think, so many times we run away from God when the going gets tough, as we feel like we have to cope with it on our own. God doesn't want you to run away from him. He wants you to call out to him and lay all your burdens and hurts down at his feet, then he wants you to run into his arms so he can embrace you and build you up, allowing you to feel comfort and receive restoration in him.  God has promised us that He will make ALL things work together for our Good, so trust him.
to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.  You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night,  nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.  For he will command his angels concerning you
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
